The F-150 also gained a more refined exterior and an updated interior. Basically, it was totally overhauled for the 2021 model year, much to our delight.

If you’re looking for a truck, the 2021 Ford F-150 should be on your radar for a number of reasons. In this post, we’re going to cover the most important features of the these trucks including powertrain options, trim packages, capabilities, and the packages that are available with these trucks. 2021 Ford F-150 Performance

When properly equipped, the 2021 Ford F-150 offers up to 430 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 570 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. These performance specs are available with the new 3.5L PowerBoost Hybrid engine, a re-vamped 3.5L EcoBoost hybrid variant. While these are very impressive, Ford also offers 5 other powertrains on the 2021 F-150 pickup truck. They include the 3.3L Ti-VCT V-6, 2.7L EcoBoost V-6, 5.0L V-8, 3.0L Powerstroke Diesel, and the 3.5l EcoBoost V-6 engine. 

All of these powertrains are matched with 10-speed automatic transmissions. The standard transmission is the SelectShift 10-speed which is an electronically controlled hydraulic transmission. Hybrid PowerBoost Powertrains are matched with the 10-Speed Modular Hybrid Transmission which is also an electronically controlled auto transmission.

Drivetrain Options

Ford F-150 trucks come standard in a 2×4, Rear-wheel drive configuration. 4×4 is optional and is electronically controlled by an open differential or electronic rear locking differential. Tremor models may come with an optional Torsen Front Differential. 4×4 models are available with two separate transfer case options. XL, XLT, and Lariat Models with the Snow Plow option use an Electronic shift on the Fly transfer case with Flat tow mode. Lariat and above trims come with a 2-Speed Torque on Demand transfer case with Flat Tow Mode.

Suspension, Tires, And Wheels

All Ford F-150 trucks come with a solid axle rear suspension with leaf springs. The front axle is an independent double-wishbone front suspension design that features coil-over shocks and a stamped lower control arm. The standard shocks that come with the F-150 are Heavy-Duty gas-pressurized shocks. Tremor models receive upgraded shocks. The standard tires that come on Ford F-150s are 245/70R17 black side wall all-season tires. Standard wheels are 17″ Silver Painted Steel Wheels. 2021 Ford F-150 Powertrain Choices

Picking the powertrain for your F-150 should depend on how you’re going to use it. They come at different price points and offer varying levels of performance and capabilities. Here’s how these six Powertrains stack up against one another.

3.5L PowerBoost V-6 Hybrid Engine

The 3.5L PowerBoost V-6 Hybrid engine produces 430 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 570 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. It’s the most capable powertrain available on the 2021 F-150. Thankfully, it’s not like the high-output (HO) 3.5L EcoBoost available in 2019 F-150 pickups specifically in Limited trim packages. The 3.5L PowerBoost is available in all trims, from XL-up.

This engine is essentially a 3.5L EcoBoost with an additional 35-kilowatt, or 47 horsepower, electric motor integrated into the 10-speed SelectShift Automatic Transmission. This electric motor offers instant additional power to supplement the gasoline powered engine. It also utilizes regenerative braking to recharge the 1.5 KwH lithium ion battery. The battery was placed underneath the truck to save interior space, and it is made extremely durable to withstand extreme temperatures or heavy loads.

To make sure the 3.5L Powerboost is just as durable as their other Powertrains, Ford put it through a grueling series of torture tests. These tests are used on all Ford F-150s but they included new tests to specifically test the batteries used on these trucks. 3.3L Ti-VCT V-6 Engine

3.3L Ti-VCT V6 Engine

Introduced in 2018, the 3.3L V-6 engine offers excellent fuel economy and meets the needs of customers not needing a large powertrain. It’s often used in fleet vehicles because of it’s lower price and impressive fuel economy. This is the standard powertrain found in F-150 trucks, so if you just need a truck, and you don’t care about what’s under the hood, this is the vehicle for you!

It uses Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing to optimize power at every point in the power band.  It also uses Ford’s port-fuel and direct injection system. The 2021 3.3L Ti-VCT V-6 engine produces 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.

2.7L EcoBoost V-6 Engine

The 2.7L EcoBoost V-6 Engine is a smaller variant of Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost engine. Twin, intercooler turbochargers and port-fuel direct fuel injection help this engine provide impressive performance specs. Despite its smaller displacement, the 2021 2.7L EcoBoost turbocharged F-150 still produces 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. This is more than enough power for most light-duty pickup truck owners and it also offers impressive fuel economy. 

Despite the 2.7L EcoBoost Engine’s smaller displacement, it actually offers a rugged and stout composition. It shares the Compacted Graphite Iron block material that is also used on the 2021 6.7L Powerstroke Engine. The 3.5L EcoBoost and PowerBoost engines use aluminum blocks. This provides a unique durability that makes it an excellent choice for work trucks.

5.0L Ti-VCT V-8 Engine

If you want a more capable naturally aspirated engine, the 5.0L V-8 engine is right up your wheelhouse. It offers 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque without the complexity of a twin-turbocharger setup. The 5.0L V-8 engine has been around since 2011 in F-150 pickup trucks and it has proven itself to be a reliable workhorse. It also offers relatively impressive fuel economy for a naturally aspirated V-8. VDE, or Variable Displacement Engine technology allows it to shut off half of its cylinders when they’re not needed, greatly increasing fuel efficiency. The 5.0L V-8 engine also offers the highest payload rating in its class at 3,325 lbs.

While the 3.0L Powerstroke engine found on the new F-150 doesn’t have the most horsepower or torque in the lineup, it reaches peak torque drastically earlier, making it ideal for towing. We like the 3.0L Powerstroke engine for people who will be towing moderate loads on the highway frequently. It also offers impressive fuel economy when compared to most gasoline powertrains in the half-ton segment. 2021 3.0L Powerstroke engines produce 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.

The 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 engine has been a staple in Ford’s F-150 since 2011. The 2021 3.5L EcoBoost utilizes a dual turbocharger set-up and offers diesel-like performance without the cost of diesel or the myriad of emissions devices. This twin turbocharger set-up and direct fuel injection help this smaller displacement V-6 provide better performance, towing capabilities, and fuel economy than most available naturally-aspirated V-8 engines.

2021 Ford F-150s equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 engine produces 400 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. They also hold the record amongst light-duty trucks for a max tow capacity at 14,000 lbs.

2021 Ford F-150 Fuel Economy

The 2021 Ford F-150 pickup truck stacks up pretty good against rival auto manufacturers light-duty trucks. 2021 F-150s equipped with the 3.5L PowerBoost engine earned the best EPA estimated fuel economy in light-duty gas-powered pickup trucks. The EPA estimated that 4×2 2021 Ford F-150s with the 3.5L PowerBoost engine can get 25 miles per gallon in the city, 26 miles per gallon on the highway, or a combined fuel economy of 25 miles per gallon. The same truck in a 4×4 configuration offers a maximum 24 miles per gallon in the city, 24 miles per gallon in the highway, for a combined total of 24 miles per Gallon.

Despite the impressive fuel economy of the 3.5L PowerBoost, the 3.0L Powerstroke diesel still holds the crown when it comes to highway fuel economy in this lineup. 4×2 2021 Ford F-150 trucks with the 3.0L Powerstroke can get a maximum of 27 miles per gallon on the highway. This makes the  3.0L Powerstroke Diesel engine our recommended choice for long distance towing. It doesn’t offer the highest tow capacity amongst powertrains in this lineup, but it offers better highway fuel economy and it reaches max torque much earlier. This powertrain isn’t for everybody though. If you frequently drive in the city, the emissions devices on the 3.0L Powerstroke make it much less efficient. Frequent idling or city driving can result in excessive regenerations and fuel economy degradation. 

Ford’s other powertrains are almost equally as impressive when it comes to fuel efficiency. By using smaller displacement engines and outfitting them with turbochargers and other performance enhancing components,  the 3.5L EcoBoost and 2.7L EcoBoost also beat most other half-ton powertrains in terms of fuel economy. Even Ford’s naturally aspirated powertrains, the 3.3L V-6 and the 5.0L V-8 post efficient numbers. 2021 Ford F-150 pickup trucks featuring an entirely new exterior design when compared to previous year models. Some elements are still the same however, such as a fully boxed high-strength steel frame and a military grade aluminum alloy body. Other than these similarities between 2020 and 2021 models, every panel on the new F-150 has been redesigned. The front end offers a tougher, more rugged look and is totally different than the exiting model. Just like the front, the other sections of the truck were improved design-wise and new features were implemented to improve utility and styling. Here’s more details and pictures of Ford’s latest F-150. 

All-New Front End

The front end received the most dramatic change of any other section of the new F-150. An updated headlight design adorns the front. These headlights can be upgraded to LED lighting.  11 new grille options are available with active grille shutters. A new power dome hood sits on top and wrap-around bumpers are also included.

Other Exterior Design Elements

Ford’s engineers wanted to make the 2021 F-150 as aerodynamic as possible to help improve fuel efficiency across the spectrum of their trucks. To help achieve this, they use active grille shutters, an automatically deploying active air dam, and new body styling to reduce drag and reduce fuel consumption. The cab and tailgate geometry were redesigned to be more aerodynamic. 

Other exterior design elements are included for increased utility. These include upgrades like optional extended power running boards for better accessibility into the cab and the bed. They also come with a kick switch! Optional LED taillights and headlamps provide better visibility in low-light conditions and improve safety when driving at night.  New Zone Lighting allows F-150 owners to control exterior lights through the FordPass App or the Sync 4 center console screen to provide lighting when outside camping or working at night.

The new F-150 also offers a more aggressive stance than previous trucks. Larger diameter tires are pulled out .75″. Higher front fenders and a tucked-in midsection further help the F-150 look more rugged and off-road capable. 

Cargo Box Upgrades

The 2021 Ford F-150’s cargo box, or bed, features new design elements that allow better utility from this portion of the truck. They include new cleats on the sides of the tailgate for extra tie-down locations for extra long items. New clamp pockets are incorporated into every tailgate as well, allowing you to clamp items down. This is an excellent design feature for tradesmen or contractors who frequently work with plywood or other materials that need to be re-sized. Last, an optional upgrade called the Tailgate Work Surface incorporates a myriad of other useful tools into the tailgate, like integrated rulers, a mobile device holder, cupholder, and a pencil holder.

Saying the 2021 Ford F-150 interior is upgraded over last year would be a great understatement. From the ground up, the F-150 interior has been redesigned for greater comfort, utility, and luxury. New materials are used, new color choices are available, and there is more storage than ever before. In 2021, greater functionality seems to have been very important mission for the F-150’s design architects. Making the interior as long-lasting as possible was also a key concern. Every interior surface was carefully tested to make sure it would stand the test of time. To help make the seats more durable in XL models frequently used as fleet or work vehicles, new soil-resistant two-tone seats were added. There are a ton of other interior features that add refinement and improve productivity too. Take a look at some of these interior features below.

Sync 4 System

Ford’s Sync 4 system is standard in all 2021 F-150s. It offers natural voice control, real-time mapping, and customizable information on demand. Making this user interphase as hands-free as possible was a major goal for Ford. Distractions are minimized with hands-free voice control, allowing you to choose music or make a phone call. 

The Sync 4 system also offers drivers greater connectivity than the previous system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are features that drivers LOVE as it allows them to seamlessly connect their smartphone to their vehicle and view the center display as if it’s their cell phone. Sync 4 does this wirelessly, meaning you no longer need to plug a USB cord into the vehicle and to your cellphone to use this feature. 

Over 10,000 hours of on-demand content are also available with this system via SiriusXM 360L. This includes live channels, ad-free music, sports, news, entertainment, and other personalized recommendations. You can also search for content within the system. 

Upgraded Entertainment System

To improve the listening experience while driving, an eight-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system is available on trims XLT and above. For the best audio experience an optional 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system is available on Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum Models, and it’s standard of Limited models. This system has 18 speakers, some of which are incorporated in the headliner and front headrests. 

Larger Display Screen & Gauge Cluster With Improved Capabilities

New 12″ & 8″ Center Display Screens

Ford’s new 12″ display is on-par with Ram’s 12″ Connect center console. This center screen is 12 inches and allows the screen to be split, to control multiple functions simultaneously. Unlike the UConnect where the 12″ screen is longest top-to-bottom, this screen is longer horizontally. It look’s like a small wide-screen television.

The 12″ display is available on all high level XLT trims and above. Lower trim packages like the XL or cheaper XLT versions get an 8-inch touchscreen, which still gives customer touch screen capabilities, a bigger display, and improved rear-view camera vision. Both versions of the center display also come with a digital owner’s manual that has search capabilities, to find what you’re looking for much faster. It also saves a ton of paper!

12″ Upgraded Digital Gauge Cluster

A futuristic looking, 12″ digital gauge cluster is available as an upgrade on select 2021 F-150s. This gauge cluster features a large on-demand area and truck-specific graphics. It will display different driver-selectable drive modes and other useful information like off-roading data or even show navigation details. Like other gauge clusters, it also offers an enhanced view at vehicle specifics like different temperatures or other parameters so you can keep an eye on truck essentials.

Interior Ready For Work

Interior Work Surface & Stowable  Center Console Shifter 

The interior on the new F-150 allows it to be a mobile office. A new Interior Work Surface option creates a flat working space in both bench seat and captain’s chair seat configurations. This creates a space ideal for signing documents or working on up to a 15″ laptop comfortably. This work surface even works in tandem with the center console shifter F-150 customers adore. The shifter easily stows into the center console by pressing a button, allowing you to still use the Interior Work Surface.

Max Recline Seats

For down-time at a job site, or when traveling long distances and you just need a rest, Ford’s Max Recline Seats offer a whole new level of comfort. They fold flat to almost 180-degrees to provide an almost flat surface to lay on. The bottom cushion even rises to meet the upper or back cushion for adequate support. This feature is available on King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited Models.

Interior Storage

It doesn’t matter what you use your truck for, everyone always appreciates more storage. The 2021 F-150 now has a standard dual glovebox, adding more storage upfront. In the rear, an available lockable, fold-flat storage box can be found under the rear seats. By lifting the rear seats, you can drop valuables or other essential items and then lock them away for safe keeping.

2021 Ford F-150 Technology

The 2021 F-150 pickup truck uses both older and newer technology to offer drivers greater safety, connectivity, and assistance. The different technologies we’re going to list below can help make towing easier or simply offer greater insight on the vehicle you’re driving. They can also make being on the road significantly safer, by taking the guess work out of the occasion. Here are the best technology features of Ford’s 2021 F-150. 

New Technology

Ford’s 2021 F-150 definitely didn’t disappoint when it comes to innovation. The latest F-150 is the most capable, and “Smart” truck Ford has created thus far, other than the new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning that was just released. New technology allows the F-150 to become a portable office space, while simultaneously powering tools at a job site.  Driving is also made easier and safer, by new driver-assist features. Towing is even improved and more convenient, thanks to some well thought-out upgrades. Intrigued yet? Here’s the new technology that the new F-150 brings to the table. 

Pro Power On-Board

Ford’s Pro Power On-Board feature is our favorite technology feature on any truck in 2021. It’s probably the most useful feature for contractors that has ever been invented, except maybe for the bed of a pickup truck.  Pro Power On-Board makes the 2021 Ford F-150 a portable generator that can power a job site for contractors or a campsite for a family vacation. Ford claims Pro Power On-Board has enough energy to power 28 average refrigerators, charge a full bed of electric dirt bikes or power an entire job site’s worth of tools. 

Pro Power On-Board is available with a 2.0 Kilowatt output on gas engines, or a standard 2.4 Kilowatt output on PowerBoost models. PowerBoost models can be upgraded to 7.2 Kilowatts of output. To use this feature, you simply plug in to one of the in-cabin outlets, or one of the outlets found in the bed. Up to four 120V, 20-amp outlets are available, with 7.2L Kw versions gaining an additional 240V, 30-amp outlet. You can even utilize Pro Power On-Board when moving! This is ideal if you’re moving between job sites or it even allows you to charge tools and other things before you arrive at your destination. 

Driving Made Easier

Ford’s 2021 F-150 comes equipped with the latest Ford Driver-Assist Technology, a part of Ford’s Co-Pilot360 2.0. From the bottom trims up (XL and above), more features are now made standard like pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and Pedestrian Detection. These features help prevent accidents between your truck and other vehicles, or even pedestrians on the street. Rear-View Cameras with dynamic hitch assist, auto high-beam head lamps, and automatic on/off headlamps are also now standard.

Optional Driver-Assist Features

10 new driver-assist features are also available as an option, including Active Drive Assist, a feature that enables truck owners to drive hands-free on over 100,000 miles of highways in the US and Canada. It does this by utilizing a driver-facing camera that tracks head position and eye gaze. Drivers must be paying attention to the road ahead, but it allows certain sections of pre-mapped, divided highways to drive with their hands off of the steering wheel. Vehicles with this feature will have the Active Drive Assist Prep Kit which contains the hardware needed for the feature. The software to enable this feature won’t arrive until at least the third quarter of 2021 however. This software will be delivered by an over-the-air update or by a dealer visit.

Intersection Assist is another available Driver-Assist feature that detects oncoming traffic when making a left at an intersection. If a risk of collision is detected, the F-150 will apply it’s brakes to try and avoid it. An available Active Park Assist 2.0 is also available, which controls all steering, shifting, braking, and acceleration during parallel or perpendicular parking when the driver holds down a button.

Over-the-Air Updates

Over-the-air updates make updating these trucks easier than ever before, and save time by not forcing you to visit the dealership. These updates can include new functions and features, and can also be used for preventative maintenance and improved performance. For added convenience, updates aren’t done automatically. Instead, you choose when they take place. Most updates will take two minutes or less according to Ford, so it won’t be a big deal, even if you are in a hurry. 

Towing Technology

Pro Trailer Backup Assist, an existing feature on previous F-150s, is also available on the 2021 model year. It makes backing up a trailer very easy, in fact, it just requires turning a dial. Trailer Reverse Guide is also available on the new F-150. It uses a combination of the truck’s multiple cameras and graphics to assist the driver when backing up a trailer. Late model year 2021 F-150s also get three completely new and very exciting towing technologies.

On Board Scales : Built-In Payload Estimation

The first of the three new trailering tech on the F-150 is an option called On Board Scales. The new F-150 when equipped with this option can measure and display approximate payload weight. Payload information is displayed in the center touch screen, on your phone through the Ford Pass Mobile App, or in built-in graphics within the truck’s smart taillamps.

The Smart Taillamps operate similar to the battery charge indicator on your cellphone. They illuminate the LEDs of the lamps in a built-in vertical bar to show payload capacity as a percentage. When max capacity is reached, four lights illuminate. The top lights blink if excessive payload is reached, showing the truck is overloaded. The truck can also be set on a scale mode, which zeroes out the current load, and allows you to add additional items to calculate their weight independently.

Smart Hitch

Payload calculation isn’t the only exciting towing feature new to the F-150. The new Smart Hitch feature helps calculate tongue weight, for a safer, easier experience when hooking up a trailer. This makes distributing trailer weight easier by providing guidance on the proper tongue weight and helps prevent hitch overloading. Like the OnBoard Scales feature, the Smart Hitch displays graphics on the Center Screen, on the FordPass app, or within the Taillights. The truck can also indicate whether the hitch weight is too high or too low to help lower the chances of trailer sway.

Continuously Controlled Damping – Active Suspension

The last of these new technologies impacts drive comfort not only when towing, but at other times too. A new, available Active Suspension significantly improve ride quality and handling. High resolution sensors send signals to an internal computer that analyzes them and then responds appropriately by controlling valves in the F-150’s shocks. This reduces bounce, and pitch and roll. It also reduces the harshness of driving over potholes. You will be able to adjust tuning by switching between drive modes.

2021 Ford F-150 XL

The 2021 Ford F-150 XL is the entry level trim in this lineup. Ideal for fleet vehicles and truck owners who just need a truck. XL models commonly have black painted exterior trim and bumpers, making them easy to differentiate between other models. Despite being a basic model, XL models now come with a variety of standard safety features, a rear-view camera, automatic low beam headlights, and more. They are available in a Regular Cab, SuperCab, Or Crew Cab configuration. The standard powertrain is the 3.3L V6 Engine, however, they can be configured to work with any of the six available powertrains. Pricing for the 2021 F-150 XL Starts at $29,290 before dealer and Destination fees.

2021 Ford F-150 XLT

The next step up from the XL is the 2021 Ford F-150 XLT. This model offers a lower starting price point, but it can be heavily modified to offer most, if not all, of the options available on Lariat and above trims. The XLT trim is also available in a Regular, SuperCab, or SuperCrew Cab configuration . The standard powertrain on XLT models is also the 3.3L V6, however it can also be paired with any of the other 5 available powertrains. XLT models come standard with XL features as well as more luxurious features like Blind Spot Monitoring, Ford CoPilot 2.0, Reverse Sensing Systems, and Chrome Front and Rear Bumpers. Pricing on the XLT starts at $35,400 before dealer and destination fees.

2021 Ford F-150 Lariat

The Lariat is the next Trim in line for the Ford F-150. 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat pickup trucks get a standard 2.7L EcoBoost V6 Twin-Turbocharged gas engine. This trim comes standard with the new 12″ Center Display, 12″ Digital Gauge Cluster, Leather-trimmed seats, and push-button start. Lariat trims are only available in a SuperCab or SuperCrew cab configuration. Pricing for the 2021 F-150 Lariat starts at $45,045 before dealer and destination fees.

2021 Ford F-150 Tremor

A new trim package is available on 2021 Ford F-150 pickup trucks, known as the Tremor edition. The 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor Edition is designed for those who want greater off-road capabilities, but still want the affordability and capabilities of the regular F-150. It’s a great compromise between the regular F-150 and the Raptor. The Tremor comes from the factory with a slight suspension lift, larger off-road tires, and aggressive wheels. It also comes with unique exterior and interior styling.

2021 Ford F-150 Tremor models are only available in a SuperCrew Cab configuration and it’s only available with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Twin-Turbocharged engine. It also comes with Front and Rear Tow Hooks.

Just beyond the Tremor is the King Ranch trim. 2021 Ford F-150 King Ranch models are one of the most luxurious F-150 trim packages. They feature a 2-tone paint and grille and feature unique interior and exterior styling. This trim has a rancher theme that features saddle-colored leather seating and appliqués. The standard powertrain on King Ranch models is the 5.0L Naturally Aspirated V8 engine, with the 3.0L Powerstroke V6 Diesel, 3.5L EcoBoost V6, and PowerBoost 3.5L V6 available as upgrade options. King Ranch models are only available in a SuperCrew cab configuration and they come stand with an upgrade Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The Platinum Trim offers similar features to the King Ranch, just with different styling. Instead of an agriculture or farmer themed interior, the Platinum is a more refined, business-like trim package. It comes with real wood interior accents, and comes standard with Navigation and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. It also has more standard safety and driving assist features. The standard powertrain is the 5.0L V8 Naturally Aspirated Gasoline Engine. Other powertrain options are available as an upgrade. F-150 Platinum trucks are only available in the SuperCrew Cab configuration.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor

Hardly to be considered a trim package, the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor is arguably the most capable off-road production truck currently manufactured. It’s a truck that is ready to function as a pre-runner desert racing vehicle, straight from the showroom floor. Equipped with a standard high-output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Twin Turbocharged and Intercooled Engine, this truck offers impressive performance with no upgraded powertrain options needed. That’s a good thing, because the EcoBoost 3.5L V6 is the only powertrain available on this truck.

The 2021 F-150 Raptor comes with a new 5-Link Rear Suspension System and new Fox Shocks with electronic control technology that actively adjust damping force according to data transmitted by sensors on the truck. The result is off-road prowess we’ve never before seen on a Ford F-150 pickup truck. Raptor models also come with 35″ or 37″ tires from the factory and are available with beadlock wheels.

The highest available trim package on the Ford F-150 is the 2021 Ford F-150 Limited. Being a step above the King Ranch and Platinum trims, the Limited comes with the most standard options and consequentially, the highest price tag. 2021 Ford F-150 Limited trucks have a standard High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Twin-Turbocharged engine. The Limited trim is only available in a Crew Cab configuration and unfortunately only a short 5’5″ box length. If this is the truck you’re purchasing, it’s very likely you’re not using this truck for work though, so I wouldn’t be concerned about the extra bit of utility.
